Post #112: Need help finding your umbrella?

Post #112: Need help finding your umbrella?

This is embarrassing but I’m sharing it anyway.

I’ll never forget 15+ years ago when I finally came to a realization that changed my life.

This is embarrassing but I’m sharing it anyway.

ENJOYED wallowing in my own self-pity.

I enjoyed wallowing in my thoughts, “Poor me, no one will ever love me. I don’t deserve it. I’m just a worthless piece of crap.”

Before you pull out the worlds tiniest violin, let me explain.

Many of us as children are steeped in various dramas that our parents go through.

Even though we tell ourselves that we will NEVER act like our parents, guess what?

Fortunately, I had begun a yoga practice and a self-study that allowed me to FINALLY realize that I ENJOYED going into this mini-drama in my head.

As sick and sad as that sounds, it was comforting. It was familiar. It was what I knew.

I could play that negative “poor-me” recording over and over with no interference and wallow in the insecurity, the inadequacy, the worthlessness.

Years later, as I was establishing what yoga calls the nonjudgmental observer through my practice, I was able to step back and really watch myself go into this mini-drama.

It was fascinating but I finally “got” that it was a learned thought/belief/emotional pattern that was engrained in childhood and one that I could CHOOSE to drop like a sack of potatoes.

And that’s exactly what I did.

It’s rare that it ever comes up, but when it does, I smile.

Thanks to my yoga practice and constant self-study, I know now that this pattern can no longer take me down like it used to do.

It can no longer affect my day, my relationships, or the way I walk around in the world.

I simply won’t let it. It’s a choice. And when you realize that it’s a choice, then you can take full responsibility for your life. And that’s a very empowering place to live from.

I share this to remind you that any negative patterning is not the real you. It does not define who you are or how you live your life.

It’s a pattern that CAN be let go of.

If you’re ready to let go, then take the first step.

I have a 12-week program designed to help men and women in mid-life get off the emotional roller coaster, out of negative patterning, get grounded in who they are, and find unshakeable peace, connection, joy and contentment.

This program intensive will help you establish a spiritual yoga practice as well as a step-by-step self study to break you out of that negative patterning and back to a very centered, peaceful and content state of being. Then you can begin attracting the right relationships and life-work that is more in alignment with who you are.

My program is different from anything else you’ve tried because it includes a 6-step self-study guide that you can easily follow as you go about daily life. These 6-steps will blow your mind wide open in the best way possible and allow you to finally see how you may be self-sabotaging yourself from living your best life.

If you’re interested then email me at Ginger@Spiritual-Yogi.com.

Have a wonderful holiday and I look forward to a life-changing new year!

Remember, you are a force for good in the world. The more consistent you get with these practices the more your life will become guided, sacred, and filled with meaning. You cannot help but then extend deep peace, joy, and contentment to your loved ones, friends, and everyone you meet. The world could use more of this, so let’s get you in the best space to make it happen.
