Some of us don’t have the time, resources, or freedom to go on a hero’s journey such as Elizabeth Gilbert went on and then wrote about in her amazing book, Eat, Pray, Love.

But, we all have a means of positive escape from our ego mind that is just as real, as life-changing, and as necessary as a hero’s journey can be for the spiritual seeker. This means is yoga and guided meditation.

Yoga is a journey, a means of escape from the ego mind, without having to go anywhere. Simply get on your mat, shift that focus inward, and let the practice do what it does best. You will find that yoga enables you to face whatever it is that you are wanting to escape within a safe and sacred space. As this happens you will shift out of your ego, analytical thinking mind so that you can tune into your higher guidance. Over time, this guidance will lead you in the best direction for your life’s path. You will look up one day and realize that this journey you have taken on your yoga mat has been every bit as fruitful and meaningful as any journey you could have taken out into the world, and quite possibly more so.

The next time you feel an undeniable need for escape, roll out that yoga mat and practice a guided meditation from Choose Spirit Now.

What a great reminder, Ginger, that it is a journey without distance, a jouney into the center of our heart where we find the “quiet answer” to every problem we have. Curt
